Not a drug addict, killer or TV stereotype.” Perrette added a few personal “contributions” for the role. She also met with her friend Clint Catalyst, the “author of Cottonmouth Kisses often brought in as a guest on television shows when they’re performing pieces on alternative or goth culture.”
Perrette said that “Clint and I, as well as our 3,000 best friends, have fun playing with each other .There’s been no time that we’ve been seated and labeled our friends. There are times where a particular event is more towards one fashion or another, but that’s nothing like a turf battle with the gang’s colors.”
Similar to the character she portrays,
Perrette has been asked if her style is punk or goth and her answer is “Who really cares?”. In the end, she informed her bosses that she isn’t one to look for a label; Abby “wouldn’t refer to herself as anything other than Abby … The person she is is a sharp, competent, confident woman who can’t be reduced to the status quo.” On October 4 on the 4th of October, 2017 TV Guide reported that Perrette was to leave the show at the conclusion of the fifteenth season.
