 What was your age when you began?

 Since my childhood, performing has been a passion of mine. I would dress up and perform in movies or TV shows I enjoyed. Every day, I would perform at home in high heels and jeweled performances. These scripts were written and assigned to my parents and friends at one point. My parents were always interested in videoing me.

You can hear me saying “I want to see the video” at the end of each one. I have always enjoyed making people laugh and entertaining them. When I began, I was probably 4 or 5 years old. My first job was to do print ads, then I moved on to commercials. After working on many commercials, I began to see myself on TV.

I then asked my parents how to appear on TV and in movies. My parents realized that this wasn’t a hobby and it was becoming more serious. I was 6 when they assigned me a manager who started submitting me to theater jobs. After I booked it, I knew that this was the job I wanted.

 Was there anything that surprised you about becoming a professional actor?

 Because I was so young, I had no training and learned everything right away. I learned about continuity and how to maintain my position and hairstyles. It was important to understand the roles of different departments and how they work together. Our show has a lot of dinner scenes. As a 9-year-old, you don’t realize how much it affects the sound department if your fork accidentally touches the plate. I have learned a great deal from this show. I am still learning!

 Let’s talk about Young Sheldon. We would like to know a little bit more about you and what we can expect from this show?

 Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s twin sister, is the role I play. Sheldon is not as smart as her sister, but she’s street smart and observant. Sheldon is not as popular with her, but she’s a friend and makes friends quickly at school. I love Missy. She is very open and honest, and she has the most wonderful sense of humor.

When I see Missy’s sassy comments, I am always able to laugh loudly every time I receive our scripts. I believe she’s a normal 12-year old and that’s why many people can relate to her. Our show is full of laughter and good times. We are not like the Big Bang Theory, and we have a single-camera show. This means there is no laugh track. It’s also set in the 19s and 80s, so there is some nostalgia.
